Sasseruwa (RasVehera) Buddha statue is a monumental shrine in Halgamuwa village of Kurunegala district, Sri lanka. Ras vehera famed due to the monastery complex, giant Buddha statue carved on a rock and several rock caves. At the same time ruined dagobas, moonstones and stone inscriptions which dates back to the 2nd century B.C are found.

To reach the 13 meter height Buddha statue you have to climb about three hundred steps upwards from the vihara steadily. The Bo tree placed in the temple terrace is one of the 32 saplings of jaya Sri maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura and was planted by King Devanampiya tissa (250-210 B.C). It is said that the whole temple surrounding got lit by colorful rays of light when the sacred tree was planted.
