The ancient temple, Wijaya Sundararamaya situated in Kurunegala is another important tourist destination ranked among the top tourist attrctions. Paintings on the outside wall of the structure belongs to the Dambadeniya kingdom lasted around 13th century. Even today you can access the old wooden stairway to the shrine. Never the less a new shrine can be found at the temple compound.
