Gamapaha district in Sri Lanka is mended with panoramic falls like Alagiyawanna Ella. This 4m cascade has attracted many tourists who visit Sri Lanka. During the Monsoon, it releases with its full force water. The fall is enriched with the Aquifers from Kandalanda estate. The route to the fall is bit muddled. First, take Colombo-Kandy road and turn at Nittambuwa. Then take urapola-hanwella road until you find the meewitigama junction. Eventually, you have to go about 2 km towards amiyitigala for Bopagama temple.
Naturally, the cascade is surrounded with greenly towering trees. The fall overflows from two gigantic rocks. The flow down sided to Attanagalu wewa (Attanagalu Lake) through the agricultural lands. The sun light filtered through the beautiful canopy is fabulous seen that you can entertain. You can explore some more falls if you travel upwards from the Alagiyawanna waterfall. The falls seem a fantastic shower to have a cool water bath.
